Audiobook Binge with Maya Rodale

As you can see from this screenshot of my recent reads, February was Maya Rodale month. The Writing Girls series was recently re-released in audiobook format, and that’s the way I can most easily read these days. It’s also been a stressful time, so these books were exactly what I needed to relax: light, funny, full of quirky characters, but still digging into women’s liberation, class divides, and other serious issues.

Audiobook comfort reading is nothing new for me. I’ve done similar binge reads with series by Tessa Dare and Cat Sebastian, both of whom use that same combination of funny and serious with a style that tends toward light over angsty. I’ve also have the pleasure recently of seeing people binge reading my Sass and Steam books, and I’m so grateful that I can give readers that experience.

What authors do you turn to for comfort reading? Do you have a particular format that’s easier for you to binge than others?

And if you’re thinking of buying audiobooks, I’d like to suggest libro.fm. Every sale supports independent bookstores!
